Kitchen Remodel Part 9

All the bells & whistles!
Today the trim, crown molding, doors and other details were added!

At the end of the day, when the workers leave, I stand in my new kitchen and try to take it all in!  I can't believe that a few years ago, I drew up a design on paper and now this is a reality!  I'm very pleased!

Kitchen Remodel Part 8

The cabinets have arrived!

There were so many, they didn't all fit in this truck!

We painted on the weekend to get ready for the installation of the cabinets.  We only painted where the wall would show, that's why it doesn't look like a completed paint job!

My desk!

Tom installed the double oven!  Luv it!

Kitchen Remodel Part 7

Drywall...

Now it's really looking like a room!

Tom has been working on all the electrical, plugs, switches, lights.  It's going to be great!

The walls will be ready for paint by this weekend.  So guess what I'll be doing!

Kitchen Remodel Part 6

Ahhhh!  Insulation!

What a difference insulation makes!  It feels like a room - nice & cozy!

Here's picture of the window that will be above my sink.

The pocket door going into the dining room.  It's always been there,  just needed some fixin'!

What do ya think, Roxy?

Kitchen Remodel Part 5

Progress...

So my sink finally came but was damaged!  BUMMER!  Now I have to wait for another one!

Here are samples of my cabinet doors!  They are beautiful!  All the cabinets will be white with glaze.  The island will be of the dark stained.

This is the wood floor I picked out.  The stained cabinet door seems a little too red, so I'm going to have the stained tweaked a bit to make it more brown and take the red out.

Kitchen Remodel Part 4

It's been a while since I've blogged, but I have a lot of progress to report!

The other wall is out which is supported by another large beam.
These windows are new and will flank the stove hood.

One Big Room!

The slider is new, still waiting for the window where the kitchen sink will be.
